PROPHETIC VOICE ACCOUNTABILITY

God’s Written Word is Our Final Authority:
God’s written word must always be our guide and final authority in all things (2 Peter 1:19). A prophetic word should never contradict the written word of God. It should be judged based on the FULL COUNSEL of God’s word, not just a single reference. For example: God is merciful but He is also holy, righteous, and just. Scripture must be rightly divided and compared to other scripture and read within the context of the entire message.

We Prophesy In Part:
In I Corinthians 13:9 Paul says, “For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.” It is important to remember that no prophet or person is all knowing. God alone is all knowing. It is God who chooses what He will reveal and to whom He will reveal and entrust His words. My job is simply to obey Him and speak as He instructs me. I must leave all the details and outcome in His very capable hands, remembering that He always judges righteously, because He sees the hearts, thoughts and intentions of man. He sees everything and we do not.

A Tremendous Responsibility:
There is a tremendous weight of responsibility on those called to the Prophetic Office. I do not take lightly what God has called me to be or to do. For I must not speak my own thoughts, feelings or bias, but as His spokesman I am accountable to Him to speak His Word only, the PURE Word of the Lord, untainted, untouched and unfiltered by human hands and reasoning (1 Kings 22:14). This I must do with godly fear and trembling.

The Approval of God or Man?
There is a lot of temptation today to soften or change the Word of the Lord as well as the written Word of God to appease man and the flesh. Many fear their ministries will be rejected if they don’t say things that tickle people’s ears. Sadly, many are willing to sacrifice the approval of God for the approval of man and many love their ministries and money more than they love God and His people. And so the body of Christ suffers and the world suffers because the Pure Word of the Lord is not going forth. The church will never rise up in all her Glory until the five-fold ministry preaches, teaches, and speaks forth the uncompromising word of God, no matter what the cost!

Who do we fear – God or man?
Paul, the great Apostle said in Galatians 1:10 “If I live to please man, then I am no longer a bond servant of Christ!" Those called to the five-fold ministry must seriously ask themselves the question, “Who am I living to please?” If we are living to please ourselves or man, then we are not fit for the ministry, we are not His servants. Let’s have the faith and audacity that Paul had, if I perish for speaking His Word, I perish. If I am persecuted, stoned, whipped, rejected, so let it be, but I will not water down or change His Word. If our passion in life is to build a ministry then we have missed our purpose! Our passion and purpose in life must be to know God and do HIS will, no matter what the cost!

The Five-Fold Ministry Will Be Held Accountable:
We must understand that God will hold the five fold ministry accountable for the condition of His flock. I fear for those who have used the ministry to advance their own agendas. If we are called to the five fold ministry then our hearts must be His, consumed with a love for God and for His people. Our hearts should ache at the condition of the flock of God. So many are scattered, broken, confused, living in sin and bondage, they don’t know what to believe anymore, many are filled with a love and lust for the world and all its ways and have become open prey to the enemy. I have to ask myself the question, what in the world is being taught and spoken from the pulpits of America? Oh God, let repentance begin with the five fold ministry!

A Prophet of Doom or a Prophet of Love:
Our culture today and much of the church has a very mixed up idea of what real love is. Love is not a gushy, shallow, emotional feeling or a worship song! Real love is what Jeremiah the Prophet operated in. Some call him a Prophet of doom, but he truly was a Prophet consumed with a love for God and for His people. He was willing to be rejected and reviled by all the popular Prophets of the day, he was willing to be cast out by the Priests and evil spoken of by Kings. He cared not about his reputation or his ministry. What consumed Jeremiah was obeying God and bringing the Word of the Lord to His people. THAT IS WHAT I CALL LOVE! Willing to lay down His life!

When I Stand Before Christ:
At the end of time, there is only one I will stand before and that is my Lord and my Savior Jesus Christ, the righteous judge, and when I stand before Him all I want to hear is well done, good and faithful one. He will ask me, "Cindy, did you speak My Pure Word to My people or did you water it down and compromise? Did you live for the praise of man or for Mine?"

God is Getting Ready to Speak as Never Before:
God is longing to speak to His Church today, there is much He has to say. But there has been much standing in the way of His church hearing His voice. These hindrances will be removed by the power of His Holy Spirit when He comes to visit His temple.

We pray God’s heart will be revealed as you read. May His Words drive us to our knees in repentance and prayer for God’s Glory to be truly revealed in the earth!
