Darrel is co-founder of Shekinah Today Ministries and leads with Cindy under the direction of the Holy Spirit. Darrel and Cindy work closely together in prayer and in all areas of ministry. They have been blessed with over 22 years of marriage and have witnessed God’s handiwork in their relationship, mirroring a picture of Christ and the Church (Eph. 5:21-33). They flow together in ministry with a great reverence for God and a deep love and honor for each other and for God’s people.

Darrel had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home where he was introduced to the things of God at a very early age. He was born in Alaska but spent most of His childhood years in Australia and New Zealand where he witnessed first hand the pure presence and power of God. From a young age Darrel had a deep love and longing for God which he began to express through his artwork and through worship on his favorite instrument – the drums.

At a young age Darrel was drawn to visual communications, media, and music, with a heart to glorify God and creatively communicate Christ. Through the years and as President of a Multi-media company he has worked with many Ad Agencies and numerous Ministries, with background ranging from print to multimedia animation. Through the years Darrel and Cindy have been honored to work and serve in many capacities within well known ministries. God used these important years to help prepare them for Shekinah Today Ministries.

Although Darrel and Cindy believe that creative media, technology, and marketing can be great tools in God’s hands. They have also learned there is a great danger when churches start making these tools the main thing. God’s house is to be a house built by prayer, His Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. These natural tools can only be eternally affective when used under the direction of the Holy Spirit and covered with the power of prayer.

Darrel has a passion to make disciples who "Know what they believe and why they believe it." For the Church to come to a fuller “knowledge of the Holy One” so they can stand up, be "salt and light" to engage and influence the culture by communicating God's fullness and truth in love, boldly without compromise or apology.

He desires people to really come to know God in His fullness, for who He really is as revealed in God's holy Word, from Genesis to Revelation.

Darrel is working with Cindy, to fulfill the call God has been preparing them for over 22 years, on what has seemed like the back end of the desert and wilderness. Their call is to cleanse purify and make ready the bride for His return.

Darrel and Cindy also have three amazing children, Lindsey, Joshua and Destiny Joy.

Cindy has always had a great love for God’s church and has always sensed a strong call of God on her life. Shortly after her salvation experience in 1984 God used Jeremiah 1:4-5 to speak to her regarding a call and commission to the Prophetic Office. God has walked her through many years of preparation and prayer.

Through the years Cindy has worked with her husband in both the ministry and business world. As Vice President of a multimedia company she worked closely with many ministries, churches and pastors to help communicate Christ. During these years she would find herself many times interceding on behalf of their ministries.

Sadly, Cindy noticed a transition taking place in many churches. The focus seemed to shift from pursuing Gods heart and ways to becoming relevant by taking polls and pursuing the latest fads and trends in marketing and media. The preaching of a shallow, self-help Gospel seemed to replace the meat of God’s word and the power of His Holy Spirit. She found many churches almost prayerless. It seemed the more relevant many churches tried to become, the more shallow and lifeless they grew and the more carnal and worldly minded the people became. She found herself in the middle of it all and further from her first love than she had ever been.

It was during a time when Cindy cried out to God for answers that He opened her eyes to see the great deception taking place. It was through all of this God began to reveal much to her about the condition of His church and the five-fold ministry.

Cindy and her husband understand that media and marketing can be great tools in God’s hands but should never take the place of the things that made the New Testament Church great – such as the power of prayer, the meat of God’s Word, righteousness, holiness, and God's presence, power, and grace to change a life!

She has a great burden for the church and for those who once knew the power and presence of God as she did, but have fallen away and been deceived. She has a strong desire to see the church return to her first love.

Cindy has a great love and compassion for all people. She understands what it is like to have been abused and broken, with no hope and feeling beyond repair. But one thing she has learned and knows for certain is the power of God’s love and His life changing word to bring restoration and healing to any life, no matter how great the brokenness or despair.

Cindy attended Christ For the Nations Bible Institute and has spent over 22 years in the study of God’s word. She is passionate for God, for His Glory, and for His church to rise up and BE GLORIOUS in the earth!

Some of her greatest joys are communing with God and spending time in His Word, seeing someone come to Christ, praying for His church, bringing forth His Word, and spending time with her family.
