It's a New Day – we
are the Watchmen of our souls – to Be Holy!
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober (exercise
self-control)...as obedient children, not conforming
yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;
but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in
all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy,
for I am holy. – 1Peter 1:13-16
Clean Hands
& Pure Heart
Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
– Psalm 24:3
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
– Psalm 24:4
He shall receive blessing from the LORD,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
– Psalm 24:5
Humble, Resist, Draw Near
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and
he will flee from you.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse
your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you
double-minded.
– James 4:7-8
Love of the World
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If
anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not
in him.
– 1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh,
the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not
of the Father but is of the world.
– 1 John 2:17
Friendship with World =
Enemy of God
Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity
with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of
the world makes himself an enemy of God.
– James 4:4
Don't imitate the World's
ways
"Do not imitate evil, but good..."
– 3 John 11
Be Imitators of Christ
"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved
children and live a life of love, just as Christ..."
Walk as Children of Light
God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we
say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness,
we lie and do not practice the truth.
– 1John 1:5-6
Our Bodies a Holy Sacrifice
unto God
I plead with you therefore, dear brothers, by the mercies
of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
– Romans 12:1
Do Not Conform to the World
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what
is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
– Romans 12:2
Walk in The Spirit = less
Lust of the Flesh
Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust
of the flesh.
– Galations 5:16
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit
against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another,
so that you do not do the things that you wish.
– Galations 5:17
We are a Royal Priesthood,
Holy Nation
You are a chosen generation,
a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people,
that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called
you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
– 1 Peter 2:9
Be Righteousness People
Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a disgrace to any people.
– Proverbs 14:34
We Reap what We Sow
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever
a man sows, that he will also reap. – Galatians
6:7
Judgment Begins in God's
House
For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house
of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be
the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
– 1 Peter 4:17
We Are All Accountable Before
God
For we must all appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ,
so that each one may receive good or evil, according
to what he has done in the body. Therefore, knowing
the fear of the Lord, we persuade men..."
– 2 Corinthians 5:10-11
Think on only those things
that are...
Finally, brethren:
whatever things are true,
whatever things [are] noble,
whatever things [are] just,
whatever things [are] pure,
whatever things [are] lovely,
whatever things [are] of good report,
if [there is] any virtue and if [there is] anything
praiseworthy – meditate on these things. –
Philippians 4:8

all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy,
for I am holy.

Run Well for the Joy set
before Us!
Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great
a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight,
and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us
run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking
unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who
for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand
of the throne of God.
– Hebrews 12:1-2
