America –
Are you Listening?
God
Still Speaks
To Nations
On October
7, 2008 we
sent out a
message titled
"What's
God Saying
to America?"
We still believe
God has much
to say to
America and
to His Church.
If we will
just listen
to His counsel
and heed His
warnings,
repent and
return to
Him, we will
see the hand
of God and
His goodness
sweep our
nation.
Please
pray that
America will
listen and
embrace God's
counsel, and
that He will
raise up influential
voices that
will call
our nation
to repentance! |
Like
much of God's word,
Proverbs. 1:30-33
gives both warning
and promise...
"They
would have none
of my counsel and
despised my every
rebuke. Therefore
they shall eat the
fruit of their own
way, and be filled
to the full with
their own devices....
But whoever listens
to me will dwell
safely, and will
be secure, without
fear of evil."
It
is God who has made
America great, and
He alone holds the
future and fate
of our nation.
We MUST acknowledge
Him and TURN from
our sin. (2 Chron.
7:14)
Where
Are the Voices?
I find it hard to
believe at such
a critical time
in our nation, the
Church for the most
part is silent.
Many
are saying and praying
– mercy, mercy,
grace, grace –
but our
nation must HEAR
the TRUTH before
she can turn, repent,
then receive the
mercy of God. Yes,
we must pray, but
then we must take
action – we
need leaders who
are not afraid to
stand up and call
a nation to it's
knees. We
need some "John
the Baptists"
to come forth!
Mercy
& Grace, Warnings
& Judgment Today?
There are some in
the Church who reject
any form of warning
or judgment today
– this is
unbalanced, and
shows a lack of
knowledge of the
fullness of God's
Character and His
holy Word. They
do not understand
that God's warnings
and judgments are
really an expression
of His love and
mercy.
We
must understand
God has an eternal
perspective and
is far more concerned
with the soul of
man than his short-term
comfort. A
loving Father will
warn and discipline
his son, because
he has his son's
best interests at
heart. We
will cover this
more in our next
message.
There
Is Hope
Although we have
some hard things
to share about what
is happening in
America and why,
we believe all that
is happening is
ultimately for the
good. God is bringing
things in line for
His great end-time
plan. In His words,
in the midst of
warning, He offers
mercy and hope,
if we will turn
Him.
This
