Cindy: My heart is sincerely grieved this evening at what so many of our churches have become.

I was invited to a women’s event at a church here in Frisco which is a mega multi campus church. I was anticipating a time of genuine worship and ministry but was sincerely saddened by what transpired to the point that I just had to leave.

I was able to push past the secular country western music playing in the sanctuary and the adult minister in short shorts and cowboy boots who opened up the service. I was trying to overlook these things, not wanting to be critical, but then several women came out on the platform, with loud music and lightshow, lined up backs faced to us, then broke out in seductive dance moves to a jingle created for the next women’s event. I felt like I was in a nightclub and was concerned what might happen next.

Sadly, this seems to becoming a normal thing in women’s ministry. I left with tears and a very grieved spirit. This church is supposed to be God’s house, a holy place — a House of Prayer (Mark 11:15-16). And the ministry leaders are supposed to be setting an example and training the women in godliness, that’s what God’s word instructs us to do (Titus 2:2-5). What has become of the house of God?

This only brings me to my knees in prayer and greatly stirs my heart even more to get the message of our book out (God’s Answer For America), which addresses the state of the American Church, which is really one of the greatest problems in our nation, and we believe why our nation continues to rage down a path of self destruction.  Judgment must begin in the house of God, and He is getting ready to visit His house! It really is time for a serious house cleaning. Church as usual must come to an end! It’s time to rock the boat and end the status quo! Please pray for us as we boldly proclaim His word.

For the (true) grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.  Titus 2:11-12.

Note: Holiness vs Legalism – an excerpt from God’s Answer For America
Sadly, when anyone does address these important issues, often they are labeled “legalistic” or “judgmental.”

Scripture is clear regarding the call to “be holy” (1 Pet. 1:15-16), yet so many in our churches today consider “holy” to be a negative “four-letter word” and relate it to “legalism.” This is a gross misconception. Legalism is rules without relationship. Living a holy life is not legalism! Living holy is love in its purest form and life at its highest level. Jesus says, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15, NAS). True holiness and obedience are a natural extension of our love relationship with God and walking close to Him. Many have set their standards according to the culture or their own desires rather than the balanced truth in God’s Word.

What We Must Do!
God is calling His leaders and churches across America to their knees—to humbly unite in genuine repentance and massive daily prayer. Only then, will we see the Great Awakening our churches and our nation so desperately need.
