Our History

Darrel was born in Alaska but grew up in New Zealand and Australia. As a young adult, he attended Evangel College, majoring in Art. He has a deep love for God’s word and a gift to teach and communicate visually.

Cindy grew up in the Midwest and accepted Christ in 1984, which began a significant transformation in her life. She attended Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, in the nineties, with a minor in Music. She also has a deep love for God’s presence and word, is an intercessor, an author, administrator, and often operates in the office of a Prophet, with dreams and visions.

For almost forty years, Darrel and Cindy have been honored to serve and lead in multiple areas of ministry, including children’s, youth, worship, media, and prayer. During this time, they also operated their media company, deVille Studios, which served ministries and worked with top advertising agencies. God has used all these things to help prepare them to launch out in ministry.

2007 – SHEKINAH TODAY MINISTRIES LAUNCHED
Shekinah Today Ministries was launched in 2007 as a prophetic voice for the Church. Through the years, many of their prophetic words have been published in multiple outlets and articles, including more well-known Charisma Magazine.

2010 – PRAY, AMERICA! PRAY! LAUNCHED
The Pray! America, Pray! campaign was launched with a national call to repentance and prayer, calling on the pulpits of America to help lead the way. During that time, they continued writing their first book and hosting Awakening To Glory, nights of worship and prayer.

2011 – MINISTRY IN HOLLAND
Cindy was honored to bring the Word of the Lord to the Fire School of Ministry in Rotterdam, Holland, as well as other churches in the area. This was significant because her mother (Hendrika Visser) lived in Rotterdam as a child when Hitler attacked and bombed it. It is understood that Cindy’s grandfather was a soldier in the Dutch Army and helped blow up bridges in an attempt to stop the Nazis.

2015 – GOD’S ANSWER FOR AMERICA BOOK PUBLISHED
Darrel and Cindy published their first book in 2015 through Creation House. God’s Answer for America was a National call to repentance and prayer and was based on a 2007 prophecy called America! America! This book has had a tremendous impact and has reached places they did not expect.

Trips to Washington, DC: Following the release of their book, Darrel and Cindy made multiple trips to Washington, DC, to join several critical prayer events that have had a tremendous impact on the future of our nation.

Host National Day of Prayer Events: Between 2016 and 2019, Darrel and Cindy organized and hosted several National Day of Prayer Events in Frisco, Texas, and in Nebraska, bringing churches and Pastors together to pray for their City and the Nation.

Radio & TV Appearances: Darrel and Cindy were honored to be interviewed and share the message of their book with numerous Radio stations and also on the Harvest TV Network.

2017 – VICTORY TODAY CHURCH PLANT:
Initially, they planted the Church as Shekinah Today Worship & Prayer Center, focusing initially on becoming a family church and House of Prayer. They led and served as Pastors and teachers. Growth was slow but steady as they sought to obey God.

2019 – HOST NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER EVENTS
In May, Darrel and Cindy organized and hosted three National Day of Prayer Events in Frisco, Texas. They were able to bring Pastors and churches together from the Dallas Metroplex to worship and strategically pray for the Nation. This was a critical event and one that came with great resistance by the media at the time. In the midst of the battle, God has shown Himself faithful on multiple levels throughout America!

2020 – VICTORY TODAY GLOBAL -ONLINE
It was just months before COVID hit that Darrel and Cindy sought God regarding financing and the future of the Church. They felt God leading them not to renew their lease but instead shift focus to building a leadership Team, Prayer, and finishing their book, Rise of the Glorious Church. They did not fully understand at the time, but God was truly leading them by His Spirit. They understand how critical it is to listen and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, even when it doesn’t make sense.

2023 – VICTORY TODAY ACADEMY BIRTHED
Victory Today Academy was born out of significant burden and concern for the youth of America and the failing education system. Darrel and Cindy, along with Josh and Rachel, are working daily to help build the foundations of this Leadership Academy, starting with their six grandchildren. They have a vision for the future as they plan to relaunch Victory Today Church.

2024 – RISE OF THE GLORIOUS CHURCH TO PUBLISHER
The final draft was completed and sent to the publisher in August of 2024. They have been working with the Editor, finalizing the Cover Design and layout as they prepare to transition from Victory Today Global online to Shekinah Today Ministries.

2025 – PREPARING FOR LAUNCH
In preparation for the release of their new book Rise of the Glorious Church, they are currently rebranding under their official ministry name Shekinah Today Ministries. They plan to launch a Podcast and will also be available to speak at Churches locally as they seek national platforms to get the Glorious Church message out to the Church.

Darrel and Cindy, along with Joshua and Rachel deVille, plan to re-launch the Church and Academy in the future as Victory Today Church and Academy. Currently, they are seeking God regarding timing, location, and funding.

GOD’S PROVISION:
Through the years, God has been faithful in providing the majority of funding needed through their media company, deVille Studios, LLC.  Their prayer and goal is for the ministry to become self-sufficient by building partnerships and providing life-changing products.
